This feels like Americana, eh? It was taken at the Williamson County Fair two years ago. I love it. I've used it here, on "The Journey with Grace," at least one other time, including last Fourth of July. Tomorrow's a day for Americana. It was snapped with my old Droid and then manipulated with a photo editing program on my phone. (Doesn't that blow your mind? It does mine. You know, the fact that we can do these things on such small, hand-held devices.) This image was created when I first began exploring the pleasures, for me, of taking pictures and editing them through smart phones. Much more instantaneous than my real camera. (Where did I put that thang?) This month, I've enrolled in my first online course. (I know, I'm so out of it in that realm of things. But, I don't like spending more time on this machine than needed. Yet the topic, Phone Photography, and the price and the teachers, many whom I've followed through the blogosphere and now through Instagram, hooked me.

So, Happy Fourth of July, for my American friends. And bless all nations of the world….I'm jonesing for a good burger or BBQ, corn on the cob and watermelon. You?
