It's an all-star
lineup in this funny flick. Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve
Martin. And a lot of other familiar faces and probably some new. We
joined the throngs Christmas night, proving that Christmas Day is one
of the most popular movie dates of the year.

Loved it. Funny. Gorgeous scenery. Home interiors and architecture
worth drooling over. Romance in the details. Clever cinematography.

Plus, I related well because I am divorced and at midlife. This
is not a chic-flick. The men there loved it too. But it has a female
(and male) empowerment message about Life going on even as wrinkles
appear and if waistlines inch forward. And the women who'd been in my
shoes and Meryl's laughed the loudest. NO inference of affairs in my
personal life! Just the other details of finding Joy, Love, Life after
Divorce and while growing older.

Of course, as always,
Streep is stunning. She has to be my all-time favorite actress.  Six of us
went, engrossed and cackling between bites of post-Christmas dinner
popcorn. We loved it.
