All three identical images: Tennessee River, Chattanooga. Top: "photo shop" auto correct exposure. Middle: no adjustment but sharpening. Bottom: exposure darkened. Comments & constructive critiques very welcome. Unsure if this is "good" or not but I like the painterly image created. Makes me want to bring out the brushes and paint. And I'll be getting to that soon!….All copyright protected: Leisa A. Hammett
This is my Best Shot Monday :
fog over Tennessee River
Trying to eliminate SOE* here. (Stupid Operator Errors.) Practicing how to link my blog in html….
SOE. Why do I have to be so old and this be so hard? Dang.
I especially like the first one. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. I am not sure if you noticed, but I live in Franklin, TN. Small world, huh? Did you ever figure out the html? If not send me an e-mail (jenniferhkline at yahoo dot com) and I will send you the code that I use to post to Tracey’s blog.
Thanks for the feedback, Jen!
leisa . your images show such simple quiet moments in nature . such a special place here . ELK
I like the first one as well. I think it’s because of the windown sill being so much more prominent. It makes me feel like I’m there peering out.
It was a magical moment. The rest of my party was not up. Here I was south of where I live, in another town, on a January morning in the fog on a river on the deck of a old, docked paddle boat?! I got some great interior shots from the interior I’ll share another time. Thanks!
Amy Jo, just saw your comment. Interestingly, there was no window sill, I was outside on the deck of a boat. That line is the land/island beneath the clump of trees. But I do like how it gave this natural border to the picture. I agree that one is the best and it was auto adjusted which made it very faded looking, which again I thought looked cool. I’m just a bit insecure regarding my photography and don’t know if others would see what I’d see in its’ artistry. I am really open to people telling me how I can do these better!! I really want that.
