Hello, again, beautiful fallen, Snow, piled atop epic Ice.

Hello, beautiful, quiet Earth. You ssshhh my mouth and mind chatter.

Hello, bulging-bellied birds perched and chirping cheeriness on the patio-garden dogwood.

Hello, warm, flannel jammies; fuzzy socks, and opportunity to give my dry, itchy skin a chance to bathe in its own moisture.

Hello, rest. Hello, home-bound projects. (At least I can dream they’ll get done.)

Hello, blueberry waffles and pancakes, chili, stews, cornbread muffins, and steaming mugs of hot tea.

Hello, attitude. I know it is all about you, me, mine. Plans, oh, they have been made. Events scheduled, too. Money-making opportunities lost. For now. Soon, these will be distant memories blinded by the sunshine-warmth of a daffodil spring.

I can only change one thing. And that is how I feel about you.

Hello, again, beautiful fallen Snow, piled atop epic Ice.
