We’re still experiencing the double fall-out of an Epic Move! But, Monday night, we took time for FUN at the Brentwood YMCA’s Full Circle program for youth with disAbilities. This special program collaborated with the sweet, kind and gracious men’s baseball and women’s volleyball players of one of Nashville’s MANY wonderful schools, David Lipscomb University for a “Trunk or Treat.” (Ya know there’s a reason “our fair city” has a replica of Greece‘s Parthenon. Some forefather named us “Athens of the South” because we have something like 22 colleges and universities here.) I love this city!!! More to come in a future blog post about the new television show, “Nashville,” filmed and set here. (I have mixed feelings.)
I’m now allergic to dairy and soy. (Soy is in everything.) And, of course I’ll be writing a post about that here on “The Journey with Grace,” as there is an environmental evil trick and no treat monster GMO and industrial food connection. Because of that Grace gets to hog all her candy to herself and I won’t be witchy and raiding her bag…except for Starbursts and the like. Good for me. In more ways than one. My child with autism, unlike me in years past, knows how to monitor herself and does not overeat. Hence, she has candy left from Monday night and it will hang around. Years past, I PIG OUT the night of the feast (she eats along with me until she knows to stop,) and then throw it away to keep myself from gorging further. Well, neither of us need it. And, yeah, I have a little (big) history-problem-issue with sugar that goes waaaaayyy back.)
So, inconclusion: BOO, Ya’ll!
