From Nashville-based (daily MUST read) "Spirit Coach" Gregory Fisher, via his June 16, "Gregory Fisher's Treat Yourself to Your Best" This post is entitled "Under the Circumstances":
"Do we ever find ourselves saying, 'I'm doing well, under the circumstances." You know, meaning, "Seeing as how the world and my life sucks, I guess I'm doing okay.' What?
"So, what are we doing "under the circumstances?" Let's get on top of the circumstances. We are not their victim.
"From time to time, life may reveal something that seems unexpected and difficult, but it is never an occassion to be defeated and powerless. It is a springboard to show us who we are, what we can become. It is the next opportunity to demonstrate the power of our vision and the strength of our intention. It is the path from here to there.
"And there is very, very good."
Amen, Gregory. Amen. It's ALL about choice. And I'm choosing to be living that choice. On. Top….
Well, I just logged on and found this and am very thankful to you for posting! It’s just what I needed: Now onto climb up to the top of those circumstances that are this day!!!
Love the re-languaging here. I’m starting a class on Non Violent Communication at my Unity church tomorrow and I can’t wait to learn a new style of communicating. Our words are so important.
Love that, Margie…”the circumstances that are this day.” Sometimes that is the case isn’t it. I like your twist here….Thank you for commenting. It’s good to see you back on here. Appreciate it. I can tell when you’re not in school. 🙂
Charlotte, hello, love. I like “re-languaging” as you put it. I think you may remember (?) that I’ve been active in NVC for four years now, attending conferences, workshops and groups. You will enjoy.
