The house sitter's holding fort. We've gone to the beach for fall break. Back when I used to vacation alone, I began a tradition of photographing my tootsies. My "I was there" photo signature. The above was taken during our chilly fall break last year. So, that is sand, not snow beneath the rubber rain boots that have waded through river mud of Costa Rica, the rains of Nashville and more, and finally required replacement late 2009. Maybe this time my toots will get more sunshine. Nonetheless, my spirit is ready for a breather.
