Willow Pond, frozen. Percy Warner Park, Nashville. January, 2010. Photo, post: copyright, Leisa A. Hammett
A balmy fall gave way.
Early December's sudden chill
A rude slap in the face.

One night faded to a morning dressed in frozen.
Stretched branches no longer bore their decadent garb.
Leaving a pale,
Cold
Earth…
And this Chill….

Hello.
Winter.
You're
Here.
I wrote so much during the month of December, and didn't keep up with my new blog post spread sheet and lost this, written in early December before the chill became. Down. Right. Frozen-ass. Cold. Willow Pond, above, tells all early January in Nashville, "twenty-ten."
