Wrapping up the annual Americana Music Festival in Nashville last week, Husband 2.0 and I attended an early evening "Songwriters in the Round" at the famed Bluebird Cafe. Rising Americana star, Angela Easterling, my cousin, performed with some of the best pickers I've heard at an early show there. One of the performers, when introducing a song, asked the audience if they'd ever heard of the tune he'd written. There was a painful pregnant pause until Husband 2.0, broke the dead silence. Startling me, he raised his beer, yelling, "I have!" The performer nodded, said a few more words and then launched into his song. Husband 2.0 then leaned over and whispered: "Never heard of the song in my life. My co-dependency flared up. I just had to help the guy out…."
