January slid into February. From MLK to Prez Day. Three Sick Days, Six Snow Days packed in between two Holidays.
Today we (Grace) are observing all three: Sick. Snow. Holiday.
Sigh.
Working at half-mast 'round here.
Trying so hard to be Zen about it all. Succeeding for most part. But the heart feels it the most. Part sunlight deprivation. Part lack of outdoor exercise. Et cetera.
This, too, shall pass.
We are blessed to have Home and Heat.
Grateful.
Not only are you a creative writer your photos tell a compelling story as well. Nice work!
I’m there, I’m there.
Also, that’s a very cool shot. Love the blue.
Scott, thank you for stopping by. Thanks for the kind words!
Rebecca, ha! I wasn’t going to post today, per usual, bc I posted yesterday. But, I got up this morning and these words were itching to be share and I shot so many images of the snow ALL these weeks. The blue? Well, now I’m not so sure. It was the auto-fix exposure adjustment tool?! Thanks again!
I know how you feel. We had 43.5 inches of snow in as much as 4 days last week and there is some on the way. I am so ready for winter to end.
I love the blue tones in the photo and the shadows.
The blue is just so striking.
Ummm. I kinda think that blue was a boo-boo. But, as they say: accidents make some of the best art. More snow came overnight and school has been called off again. Sigh. Thank you for visiting, Cara & Amy Jo!
Cara, I’ve been to your blog before and I love your photos. So, thanks an extra for the compliment. And, yeah, I love photographing shadows. I’m about ready to start a series.
It has truly been winter in Tennessee this year; I suppose we were overdue. The comfort in February lies in remembering that while harsh, it’s also brief. Warmth of spring will be here, very soon.
Well, put, Nancy!
