Daddy & I, Walker Family Reunion, 2006
After a two-year struggle with Parkinsons, "Daddy Gene," my father, is, at the time of this writing–Wednesday night–in the process of transitioning from this Life. Last Thursday marked his 88th birthday. "Daddy Gene" was the name my daughter, Grace, called her grandfather.
My Arts Friday post on the Frist Center's Vishnu exhibit is prepublished….I'll be away from here a few days. {All ships will be minded.}
Past posts about "Daddy Gene" are: here, here, here, here, here, here and here.
all best thoughts to you and yours, during this time of special, and sacred, transition. Nancy

Hi Leisa, I am Joey Cain’s mother, you may not remembe me. Just wanted to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Yes, Ms. Crain, of course I remember you! Thank you for contacting me. I have enjoyed catching up with Joey on Facebook recently. I’ll be remembering Daddy more on Mondays in my blog. Thank you again.
