GraceGoad.com.PurpleYellowDuetI These are exciting times here at GraceArt. We've received seven solicitations, most within the last month and all within the last six months for three solo shows next year (not all yet solidified,) three out-of-town shows and as a featured artist in two books on "Artism."  "The Journey with Grace" will keep you in the loop. More details are coming next ArtsFriday about the Soho "Artism" show featuring her work at the end of this month, plus a show in Washington State. In her 11 years of exhibiting her work, these will be only the third and subsequent times since the 2000 "Arts Therapies on the Hill," in the US Senate-Dirksen Building, in Washington, D.C., that GraceArt has shown outside of Tennessee. Go, Grace! The other was when we were on "The View" in 2007.

Here in Nashville, her work shows annually at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, which offers the only gallery in Nashville exclusively featuring artists with disAbilities and art about disAbility.

Last I heard, this diad of GraceArt had been separated inadvertently.  One is showing now until December 31, 2011–when the annual VKC and Nashville Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities exhibit ends–at the Kennedy Center. The other is part of the same exhibit but at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Mezzanine Level, downtown.

Here is a link to to the entire body of work featured in this annual local show now.

Stay tuned!
