This summer, when Grace was not in a camp (Full Circle, Easter Seals, ESY-extended school year-Talker Camp, and her beloved South Carolina-based Camp PhiPhi,) or her summer job at Goodwill, art therapy, or her very last semester of therapeutic horseback riding before aging out of SaddleUP!, (she already misses it,) we were either schlepping some stolen moments at home, or here and there, taking in our town. #ILoveNashville Here, I shared what I did when she was at Easter Seals and Camp PhiPhi. I promised I'd share some of our summer family fun. Below, left to right:
While Grace made art, Mom hung out in cool places, such as Sloco, former Tayst chef's new digs in 12th South. A bit of Grace at newish Charlotte Pike/Richland Park/West Nashville coffee house, Headquarters. The juice bar in Mom's (our own) kitchen.
Hey, it's Music City, so there's always…music! Bruce Munroe Light at Cheekwood…lights complete with music. Delivering GraceArt to Tennessee Art League on 5th Avenue of the Arts, we encountered classical on Church Street. At Warner Park's monthly Full Moon Picking Party it's about the bluegrass.
Grace loved sittin' a spell on the porch glider; walking in Warner Parks and picnics. Oh, Grace loves picnics. Can you tell? I almost forgot the fun mode that gets us all these places when we are feeling wild and wooly, the wind therapy mobile, Mom's 10-year-old convertible. Ride on!
